The Junior Sailing Program at CYC is designed to teach participants how to sail by following the national CanSail levels. It is a two-week program where campers sail everyday, weather permitting. Participants will sail either with others in 420 sailboats, or alone or in pairs in Opti sailboats. The program can accommodate all levels of experience, and includes unique ‘Friday Fun Day’ events where participants sail to exciting locations once a week.
What Junior Sailing Course should my child be registered in?
If your child is 5-7 years old, he/she should register in Wet Feet.
If your child is 8+ and is new to sailing, he/she should register in Learn To Sail CANSail Levels 1 and 2.
If your child is 8+ and has taken sailing lessons before, but you are unsure of the CANSail Level he/she has completed, please go to Checklick at checklick.com. There you can search your child’s name and see what level he/she has completed.
